Emily Hartnett

Hello!

The 2023-2024 school year will be my 12th year of teaching at Ranolph Heights. I have worked at a collection of other St. Paul schools, both as a teacher and as a literacy specialist, but I have happily found my home at RHS!

I have three young adult children who are busy building their own lives in the real world. They are scattered from Tucson to Budapest, so most of my travel plans involve visiting them. It might not seem like it at the moment, but it is true that your children will grow up quickly!

When I'm not playing with kids, I enjoy cooking, gardening, kayaking, playing pickleball, and just generally being outside, as that is where I'm the happiest. I will admit, however, that I have become very content being inside during the most challenging MN winter days!

I believe that everyone has a story to tell, and I carry that philosophy into the classroom. I honor and celebrate differences, as that is what creates a welcoming environment that is rich with opportunities for growth. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that your child has a fabulous 3rd grade experience.
