Pre-Kindergarten Program at Randolph Heights- A Great Start for a Lifetime of Learning!
The Pre-Kindergarten Program provides preschool education for children the year before kindergarten to prepare them for school success. In our class, our focus is to teach children to see themselves as capable learners, develop reading, writing, and math skills, and how to work well with other children and adults.
The Randolph Heights Pre-Kindergarten Program is five days a week with two sessions. *Morning Session-9:10-11:55 AM *Afternoon Session-12:55-3:40 PM
Each class has 20 children with a full time teacher, Sara Swift, and assistant, Kathy  | | Journal Writing | Sawyer.
A Day in Pre-Kindergarten Ease Into the Day - The teachers create a warm & welcoming environment by checking in with the children as they enter the classroom. After a trip to the coat room to hang up gear the children sign-in on the white board. Morning/Afternoon Meeting - The class comes together in a circle and the meeting begins with a greeting and a reading of the daily message. Small Group Activities - Teachers instruct targeted skills after which time the children have an opportunity to practice the skills taught. Active Learning - Children  | | We are signing up for Active Learning! | have time to explore the different learning centers of the classroom. Regroup to Revisit
- The class comes together again to reflect on the day's learning and to make connections to and preparing for the next day.
